We arrived into Safaga early (0700) and Sandra, Allan I were ready t start our adventure..... Unfortunately we had to wait for the police escort but it worked our for the best. The drive through the desert was very picturesque and scenic. We arrived into Luxor around 1130 and went straight to our boat, the Almira Princess. We got settled in, went t lunch and relaxed until 3:00 when our guide came t pick us up. Our first stop was the Temple of Karnak..... amazing! The sphinxes lined up were just amazing. The immensity of it all was overwhelming!!!!! The hypostyle of Karnak is incredible. The obelisks were beyond words. I also have to add that it was hotter than hades...... I can't wait to show you some of the photos, I'm sure you will find it just as amazing as I did. Our next stop was the Luxor Temple and once again I stood in awe..... The entrance with the courtyard of Necanebeo and the pylon of Ramses II is very dramatic!!!! In both places the statues, paintings, hieroglyphics, etc were amazing... Later, we spent several hours that evening in the local bazaar, shopping and checking out the cafes.... What an amazing day!!!!!!
